When this tool is useful
An image-based PDF is ideal for organising photographs of papers, but it is not the same as an OCR document. Text in the photographs remains part of the image, so you should not expect editable or selectable text. Keep the original high-resolution photos when small details such as signatures must remain readable.
Frequently asked questions
Which image formats work?
JPG and PNG are supported. HEIC and SVG are not supported by this starter.
Will the tool recognise text in my photographs?
No. Optical character recognition is a separate feature not included here.
Processing depends on your device and browser memory. Very large documents may take longer or fail.
Helpful tips and related tools
Put photographs or scanned receipts into a single A4-sized PDF, one image per page. Images are fitted within margins, so unusually narrow or wide pictures may leave white space instead of filling the sheet.
Turn photos and scans into one printable file
Use this tool when you have several photographs of handwritten notes, a receipt collection or snapshots of a signed form. Add images in the order you would like them to appear. The tool places them onto A4 pages, making a PDF that is easier to print, attach or archive than multiple image files.
Image-based documents are not searchable text by default. If a school or workplace requires selectable text, you will need an OCR workflow after the conversion. Before submitting, open the PDF to check that small print is legible and that photos were not rotated or cropped unexpectedly.
